A training system that had to do more than share files
Sunmaker Oil and Gas Training Institute, working with TotalEnergies, needed internal staff training to be auditable. Attendance sheets and shared drives could not answer the questions that mattered: who completed what, to what standard, and what should happen next.
What we built
A learning management system organised around three integrated layers.
- Learning. Staff access internal knowledge, take assessments and complete assignments anytime, anywhere.
- Management. Administrators manage user data, course enrolments and structured content, and monitor progress well beyond file-sharing.
- System. The platform processes data, collects statistics, generates reports and automates grading to streamline training.
How it was delivered
Content development ran in parallel with the build so the system launched with real course material rather than an empty shell. Dashboards were designed against the reports the institute already had to produce, not invented from scratch.
Capability transfer was explicit in the scope. The institute’s own team administers the platform today.
Result
Training records moved from a set of spreadsheets to a single system of record, with grading automated and reporting available on demand.
